Family Garden
Every garden has a purpose. Bringing joy to family and young children ran as the central theme as we repurposed a space already blessed with beautiful trees. A children’s nook with swing, playhouse, planter box and tree-stump lounge now sits under a truly beautiful Weeping Fig in one corner of this garden. In the northern corner, a shady space beneath a well established New Zealand Christmas Tree invites family and friends to relax, refresh and enjoy children having fun. This is beautiful work, especially when the little people for whom these gardens are created play around you and interrogate every plan. We could do this everyday for a thousand years.

Desert Garden
Every garden brings vibes. A little brag for this garden and for the team who built it. Thank you K for the affirming feedback … “If you’re looking for someone to transform your outdoor space into something both stunning and practical, look no further than FactoryForest gardens. I had a complete disaster on my hands—the very first thing people saw when entering my home was a patch of desert, thanks to my two dogs who had torn up all the grass and left an eyesore in their wake.
From the very first consultation, Graham and his team stood out. He took the time to listen to my frustrations, asked thoughtful and insightful questions, and truly sought to understand not only my aesthetic goals but also the practical needs of my space. The attention to detail and ability to envision the possibilities made me confident that Graham and team were the right people for the job.

Green Sanctuary Cat Garden
Every garden is a gift. A dear friend who worked so hard to achieve an aspirational milestone decided it was time for a gift – to herself. For FactoryForest gardens, our gift was to create a green sanctuary within which, and from which beautiful views and beautiful moments can be reflected on and enjoyed forever. This was also a gift to the family cats who now enjoy tree stumps to climb and perch on, and many Carex grasses to play behind, on, in and leap over. All of the planting is soft on the eye and on the touch, including along the inside driveway where white Plumbago invites people in. In time, this garden will just become more and more beautiful as she fills.

AirBnB Garden
Every garden is an invitation. Some images of a recently finished FactoryForest garden for a lovely Airbnb in Constantia, Cape Town. The brief was to create inviting, accessible and easy to maintain gardens for guests choosing to stay this home. The front ‘Shade Garden’ offers visitors a shade covered table space under a magnificent Plain Tree which allows beams of spectacled light to shine through. The colours which light the ground beneath are just beautiful. The back garden, lined with Indian Hawthorn, Clivia, Dietes Grandiflora, young Water Pear trees and a potted Bougainvillea invited guests to relax, read, sip on a delicious refreshment in a garden which is soft and easy on the eye. An old Guava Tree lines the Clivia bed and ‘hidden’ stoned path between the two gardens. Wishing all guests to this lovely home some peaceful time in these new spaces.
