FactoryForest exists to create beautiful and functional garden spaces, ‘forests’ as we like to call them – and to do so affordably, using up-cycled materials, and resilient, indigenous planting
Our gardens exist in spaces calling for re-imagining, sometimes in spaces few would have imagined, and always in the imaginations and dreams of our clients.
Why:
- Because your property asset should not be maintained alone. It should be loved and nurtured.
- Because green and forested spaces add value – tangible, intangible, financial and non-financial.
- Because functional green spaces enhance health and well-being, and productivity where green spaces exist in work spaces.
- Because beautiful gardens can be created affordably.
- Because in whichever form they exist, thoughtfully designed plant filled spaces are beautiful and inspiring to be in.
- Because the forests and gardens we grow and care for transcend us.
FactoryForest cares for and transforms outside spaces in commercial and home spaces into beautifully lush, inspiring, inviting and functional green environments.
We do this to enhance our client’s property value, create (new) functional spaces, enhance well-being for the human and non-human animals who journey through them, and for the myriad benefits that radically planted and beautiful green spaces provide.
Planting indigenous trees, shrubs, climbers and succulents, and using up-cycled and sustainable materials, FactoryForest creates and maintains beautiful planted spaces which resonate with the allure and symmetry of naturally forested spaces.
Our mission is to re-imagine and enrich our client’s external spaces by creating vibrant, sustainable green environments which inspire, add value to the properties in which these remarkable spaces exist, and which profoundly enhance the experience of the people who live and work in them.
Decades of gardening for himself and others as a part-time gardener, amateur garden builder and landscaper revealed a profound epiphany. While every tree or shrub planted somehow made him whole, proud and filled with joy, each one was calling me to be a part of the earths forests – those which exist now and those which we can, and have a responsibility to rebuild. It also occurred that the space to do this best is where forests have completely given way to human endeavor and that balance can be restored.
Graham founded FactoryForest with a love for gardens and a deep sense of responsibility to support nature’s restoration. Reimagining and transforming the way we use and care for external spaces – those we journey through often, and those left fallow and neglected drives the purpose of our work.
In the world of FactoryForest, a good day is a day when at least one tree, shrub, hedge, grass, ground-cover or bulb has been planted. And if it wasn’t a good plant day, well then, there is always tomorrow.
